 Where have you played?

Hi All,

I'd like if some of our visitors could post some of their experiences with different area venues. Whether it be a really good, really bad, or downright ugly experience let's hear about it! I'm also looking for more venues to add to the venue page I am about to launch.

So where have you played, what was it like, and would you do it again?

Venues I have played? Well the list is an awful lot. I'm 34 and I've been playing for the last 15 years consecutively.

I guess my most memorable venue would be AJ's Sports Bar in Levittown, PA. One side of the place is just that a sports bar, the other is a dedicated rock club. Decent size stage, Fantastic House PA, and prompt payment upfront and without any shady business.

They draw a consistent crowd every weekend and everytime we played there it was fantastic.

We have played at a variety of venues in the past. Including The Galaxy Cafe & Stage (South Plainfield, A small place to play, good for bands wishing to start out.), School of Rock (South Hackensack, Huge warehouse, big stage, great sound system.), Cagneys Pub (Sayreville, Extremely small bar type resturant, not the best equipment, very disorganized.). If anybody has any other venues nearby let us know haha maybe we could play some shows together.

I've had the chance (through my pass projects) to play a nice handful of venues throughout NJ and NYC (in both the original and cover scene). I'd be happy to share any info / contacts if needed -- and if anyone has any smaller / acoustic type venues (something I am relatively newer to) and can pass along some contacts in return, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Hey Brian if you want send me an email on a couple of the venues so I can get them into the venus page I am building. The link is not active yet, the open mics page is active with a few, but I am going to be building both of these pages up for everyone to check out. if anyone has some venus they feel like sharing email them to me (use the contact us form if you don't have my email yet or just email justinmg77@hotmail.com directly.) -Justin 8-)
